1 - The Initial Vision

November 2025 – SCTC President (2025–2027) Tenzin Rigsang conceived the vision for the Norling Tibetan Cultural Centre.
Believing the time was right to begin, he committed to turning the vision into reality.
No comparable project existed in Australia.

2 - Early Discussions

Following the initial vision, President (2025–2027) Tenzin Rigsang held the first discussions on the project.
The concept was shared with Vice President (2025–2027) Tenzin Namdak and Secretary

(2025–2027) Jamyang.

These discussions explored the project's purpose, long-term vision, and feasibility.
Their feedback helped refine the concept before it was presented to the full committee.

3 - Committee Presentation

4 - Community Showcase

1 January 2026 – The Norling Tibetan Cultural Centre was presented to the South Coast Tibetan Community during the New Year gathering.
Community members learned about the project's vision and future plans.
The proposal received unanimous support through a community vote.

5 - Community Consultation

10 June 2026 – Community members were invited to nominate themselves for the Norling Tibetan Cultural Centre Project Subcommittee.
Community consultation was conducted to gather ideas, feedback, and expressions of interest.
The nominated Subcommittee members were then presented to the community, marking the beginning of the project's dedicated leadership team.

6 - Committee Approval

10 June 2026 – The Norling Tibetan Cultural Centre Project Subcommittee was presented to the community.
The community unanimously selected and endorsed the subcommittee members.
With the community's approval, the subcommittee was formally entrusted to lead the project's planning and development.
